“Love Came Down at Christmas” is Christina Rossetti’s (1830-1894) simple reflection on the Nativity of Christ and its implication for Christians to show love to all persons as their token, or witness, of the Love that was made incarnate at his birth.

“Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love divine;
Love was born at Christmas,
Star and angels gave the sign.
Stanza 2: TB unison (lines 1-2), SA (lines 3-4)
“Worship we the Godhead,
Love incarnate, Love divine;
Worship we our Jesus;
But wherewith for sacred sign?
Stanza 3: Unison voices (lines 1-2), SATB to end
“Love shall be our token
