Here’s a fun-to-play, entertaining arrangement of one of the best-known winter holiday tunes.
Published in 1857 as “One Horse Open Sleigh” and re-titled “Jingle Bells, or the One Horse Open Sleigh” in 1859, James Lord Pierpont’s (1822-1893) composition has since become a Christmas-time favorite.
This arrangement begins with a ballad-like statement of the verse, followed by verse-chorus-verse in a Latin/pop style and concluding with a swing chorus and Ellington ending. Fun!
Score, parts (Bb tpt. 1, Bb tpt. 2, F horn, tbn, tuba) — $8.99
