“Heart of Jesus, Think of Me” is a short prayer that is among the Devotions for Communion in Saint Augustine’s Prayer Book, a manual of devotions for various services and offices of the Church and occasions in the lives of individuals. It was prepared by the Order of the Holy Cross, an Anglo-Catholic Benedictine community based in West Park, New York, and first published in 1947.
A lovely Communion meditation, this devotion is repeated twice: first by unison women’s voices alternating with men’s, then by a capella voices in 3-part harmony before organ accompaniment returns for a short coda and “Amen.”
